Vague Light

Mindless fatigue - my soul endlessly aching
Waiting for deadly release an empty disease
Give up control in defeat
I’ve been here for weeks, maybe years, trapped in my mind’s prison
Nothing to eat I grow weak
How have I not seen, answers stray far from delusion
Feeling the hate swell in me

I go deeper in to thrive under a weeping sky
The weight of my own conscience bends me beyond repair

If I seek the truth in light - will all of my torment die?
Will warmth return into my body?
Give back to me what’s mine
Under the dirt, eternally waiting
Determine the fate that I will be taking
Bound to return, among all the worms
If I don’t find the reason, beyond my own demons

Forming an apology, scratching the words out
That I couldn’t bear to see, written out in blood
I will never come to be, my selfish vision
Happiness evading me, between the cracks

I can’t relate to you
