Restitution

They come in waves
The enemy became everything we deceived
Beneath the entirety of everlasting condescension

We won’t last against this army of thieves
Their savage instincts never spare humanity
We can only watch as they

Take away the breath of our king and queen
We fall to our knees, pleading for forgiveness
But they show no remorse

The sky burns bright tonight
Filled with the ashes of our savior
Our only glimpse of hope

One by one we line up for our own execution
Awaiting the afterlife, there is no restitution

Fading away became a distorted reality
This is my final place of rest
