He’s always dreamed of
The scepter and the crown
The right to rule and stand above the law
He’s gathered millions
The faithful and the blind
Who hold as true his tales of rich-and-poor

He’s made his way up
But a second face appeared
As circumstances went and came around
He claims injustice
And blames his entourage
Makes sure that every fact turns upside down

Sanctified and cherished by
All those who take a part in his domain
But for the righteous people
The excuses for his crimes are oh so lame

A momentary lapse of treason
An ounce of selfness, a pound of ambition
A temporary glimpse of confusion
Who’s to accuse him with thieves in profusion
Out in this country's fields?

He’s promised heaven
Delivers hell instead
A dreadful scent of terror in the air
He’s aiming high now
A past and future king
To celebrate his never-ending scheme
