And the bright hair flowing?

Onde está a mão na corda de harpa
Where is the hand on the harpstring
E o fogo vermelho brilhando?
And the red fire glowing?
Onde está a primavera e a colheita?
Where is the spring and the harvest
E o trigo alto crescendo?
And the tall corn growing?

Eles passaram como chuva na montanha
They have passed like rain on the mountain
Como um vento no prado
Like a wind in the meadow
Os dias caíram no oeste
The days have gone down in the west
Atrás das colinas na sombra
Behind the hills into shadow
Quem deve recolher a fumaça
Who shall gather the smoke
