On My Side

I don't understand all that I see.
Always filled with so much negativity.
With all your anger and all your hate.
Shame to see your energy go to waste.
You claim that's just the way it is.
But I hang my head and it's not all that I believe.
I know you feel it deep inside.
But your conscience, sits on the side.
I can see you're thinking but your thoughts stay the same.
Look at me in discontent, say you'll never change.
Why won't you try to pull yourself out of these lies.
Cant do it alone so then get on my side!
Soon you'll see that there's no point.
In beating kids up, doesn't feel your void.
Feeling empty deep inside.
So you use hate to feed your pride.
Hurting deep within so you push on others.
Making others feel your pain and struggle.
Go ahead and listen to the voice in your head.
Cause this fire just keeps getting fed.
I can see you thinking say that you got a plan.
Step up to this problem man, you finally understand.
Taking action to stop all of this.
Put a smile on your face and be an altruist!
Stop! It's not that hard.
To extend a friendly hand.
Pick someone up when they fall, your gesture will go far.
