He’s lost in his thoughts again
Tunnel vision setting in and he’s blinded by the absence of the light
He went down to the river
Dropped to his knees and said
If you take me now, I won’t put up a fight
But the ink on the pages hasn’t dried
He hesitates as the water begins to rise

He said No
